Matt Seddon

Matt started out in the grass roots of the sport age 9.
He quickly fell in love with running throughout his teens, picking up national titles along the way over the 1500m.
Matt graduated University with a Performance Analysis degree and a Level 2 UKA coaching license. Out of University he spent the next few years travelling the world assisting and training with Olympians learning all about training principles and theories within the elite world of distance running.
In 2020 he jumped into full time coaching putting his experience into practise. He started coaching athletes of all abilities helping them reach their goals. In 2022 he became the head endurance coach at Oxford University, developing athletes from 800m - Marathon.
Matt co-hosts the Sunday Plodcast where he discusses the lives and careers of elite distance runners from around the globe. Guests include leading physiologists and coaches. Finally, he has also worked in the sports broadcast space at World and European athletics events as an editor and commentator.
